Bryan Neft Receives Highest Judicial Rating from Bar Association

Allegheny County Bar Association Gives Neft "Highly Recommended" Rating

Pittsburgh, PA - The Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) rated Bryan Neft "Highly Recommended" to hold judicial office; the highest rating possible.

"I am humbled and honored to receive this rating. Hard work and fairness have guided my career and I will carry these values with me to the bench," said Neft.

The ACBA "Highly Recommended" rating is reserved for individuals who:

  • Exhibit preeminence in the law by way of outstanding legal ability and a wide range of experience, either in a specialized field of law or a more varied practice, and has a reputation in the legal community as standing at the top of his or her profession;
  • Possess the highest reputation for integrity and temperament;
  • Exhibit outstanding citizenship by way of community and professional contributions;
  • Is an exceptional individual who will enhance or has enhanced the competency, dignity and public perception of the bench.

Neft served for nearly 15 years in a leadership role on the Allegheny County Bar Association's Board of Governors and as its president where he championed issues affecting women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ members of the legal profession. During his tenure on the board, he promoted changes to the rules of professional conduct to prohibit bias, and chaired the committee responsible for drafting the ACBA's Code of Professionalism for the Bar Association, which is still in use today.
